Dear Donor,
Greetings!
As the season of harvest unfolds, we are delighted to share with you the latest updates from Pickupchina World Cleanup Day project. Below are the highlights and achievements of our recent activities in September, along with the specific impact of your generous support.
Project Highlights and Achievements:
1. International Day Recognition: This year, through the collective efforts of partners worldwide, World Cleanup Day has been officially recognized as an UN international day. This is not only a recognition of the work that our team has been advancing in outdoor waste cleanup in China but also a great encouragement to all volunteers.
2. Broad Participation of Partners: We have joined hands with partners from all over the country, including various public welfare organizations, outdoor interest groups, and corporate teams that focus on waste issues. They have shown a keen interest in and enthusiasm for participating in World Cleanup Day. Each year, new partners learn about World Cleanup Day through us and join the action.
3. Activity Material Support: For this year's World Cleanup Day, we, along with our volunteers, packed and distributed over 700 toolkits, providing material support for partners and teams participating in the activities. These toolkits not only included necessary items like gloves and trash bags but also featured specially designed quick-dry towels that combine the slogan with practical functionality, enriching the organization of activities and boosting everyone's confidence in event planning.
4. Diverse Public Communication: We have received support from 20 corporate partners and 16 joint communication parties. At the same time, through the activity organization of partners across various regions, World Cleanup Day has also received widespread media support from different parts of the country. This year, for the first time, we combined poetry with World Cleanup Day through the "Left Rubbish, Right Poetry" poetry exhibition, where 14 young poets and 2 youth poetry communities created 50 environmental poems together, conveying the power of environmental literature. Additionally, our World Cleanup Day theme song for China, ", !" was a collaboration between Pickupchina and independent musician Jing Rong, with lyrics co-created by our volunteers, expressing our common concern for waste issues and the natural environment.
Achievement Summary:
Since the last report, this year's World Cleanup Day, throughout September, we mobilized approximately 260,000 volunteers and cleaned up about 61 tons of outdoor waste. These achievements could not have been possible without your support and trust. We will continue to strive for greater contributions to the cleanliness and sustainable development of our planet. Your support has not only helped us achieve these results but also given us the confidence to make even greater progress in the future.
We sincerely appreciate your generous support and look forward to witnessing more achievements together. If you have any questions or need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
PickupChina Team
