With the arrival of regular rains, Green Care Association (GCA) was able to continue organizing tree-planting events with community volunteers. This time, the activity took place in the community forest, where over 850 trees were planted. The exercise, which engaged a team of 12 for more than five hours, turned out to be both productive and enjoyable. The day was brightened with environmentally friendly songs and light refreshments.
Before planting began, GCA staff briefed volunteers on the reasons for planting, the types and names of the trees, and why the site was chosen. Most of the trees were bee-friendly and had medicinal value. This prompted one of the female volunteers, Belinda, to express her satisfaction, saying: “I am very happy to be part of the planting team and I look forward to joining again next time.”
The GCA team remains deeply grateful to the wonderful GlobalGiving donors and team for their generous support, and we promise to plant even more trees whenever given the opportunity.
