Dear Friend,
The Peepad pasture site in the small village of Rajasthan, has an area of 36 ha. An area of 7 ha has been encroached by a mine owner for many years. The community had taken legal action on the site with support of Seva Mandir about 7 years back, but the case is still ongoing.
The village development committee mobilized by Seva Mandir of this village is very active, and they have used money from their village funds for paying legal fees and fought to remove the encroachment.
Based on the discussion by Seva Mandir team, the community members from Peepad village put up a proposal for developing the remaining area of the pastureland, to protect the remaining land from further encroachment. The site was demarcated by the panchayat, and work has been initiated. Due to efforts of the community and panchayat, instead of the trees and plants being removed, the pastureland has now been protected and conserved.
Your modest donation of $100 can make a significant difference to help us support a community save and conserve their pastureland and create a ripple of positive change in communities.
Thank you for your dedication and support. Together, we can continue to make a lasting difference in conserving our land, trees and indigenous communities in rural Rajasthan."
Thanks and best regards,
Ronak Shah
Chief Executive
