Dear Freinds,
While the impacts of climate change affect every country on every continent, they don’t do it equally. People already burdened by poverty and oppression often suffer the harshest consequences, while having the least ability to cope. Their struggle to earn a living, feed their families and create stable homes is made more difficult every day the climate crisis continues.
Today, the effect of climate change in Rwanda is apparent due to continuous deforestation happening in Rwanda because of the need for food, medicine, charcoal, and timber. The loss of tree cover in a rainy, mountainous country has had severe environmental consequences. In addition to tremendous loss of biodiversity, the region experiences soil degradation, erosion, and landslides.
Rwandan youth Deveolpment and Volunatry organization started this project to give contributiion by planting 20,000 trees.
currently we are in the step to grow trees as you may see on photos and we still need means to buy the remaining shadenets fo finalize the construction and also to prepared the land where we will plant our 20,000 trees.
We do appreciate your support, without you, we can not suceed.\
Thanks
Jean
