Rwanda Youth Development And Voluntary Organization would like to express my deep gratitude for all the support that you have provided so far for our tree planting project hosted at GlobalGiving. We are so glad to share that we are making a very good progress in our fundraising, and we hope to achieve our immediate milestone of raising USD$5000 for preparing the 5 lands for tree plantation by the end of December 2021.
I just wanted to take a minute to update you on the efforts we are taking for getting prepared for preparing the land and how our volunteers are working towards that. For preparing the Buyoga Cell Land (Location: Rwanda:72RJ+MQ), 15 people are getting trained to prepare the Buyoga Cell Land from January first week, and this will take 10 to 15 days. Due to the urgency of the planting saplings by the end of January 2022, we might increase the number of workers. We have also finished all preparations related to the transport of organic fertilizer.
The transport will be done by people who will carry the fertilizers and other material, as there is no other mode of transport for Buyoga Cell Land. To do this, we will get the help of 15 people who will be working for 10 to 15 days. We may also increase the number of workers depending on the progress of the work. For planting trees, we will involve primary school students and children around the village. The supervision will be done by Field operation Manager together with RWAYDAVO volunteers.
We wish and hope that through this project, we will be able to make a significant impact in the lives of the people in the community, and instill the importance of trees in the minds of the people so that they take care of them on an ongoing basis.
