Dear Patrons,
We are so happy to thank you very much for all the support that you have provided so far for our Rwanda forestation project and we take this time to wish you Happy new year and Marry Christmas!!
We are so excited to share with you the annual report of land six, especially how trees are growing now at land six, at location Rwanda: 724+ CHC Mugambazi/Rulindo (Google Plus code). In this land we have planted in total 28500 trees of eucalyptus (See attached photos showing how trees are growing). Thank you very much for your generous donations through GlobalGiving to Plant 40,000 Trees In Northern Rwanda. Your donation helps ensure we can continue helping our community, so thank you!
Currently planting maintenance:
Mulching : Apply a layer of mulch around the base of each tree to help retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, and regulate soil temperature.
Weed Control:
We are removing competing vegetation: Weeds that can compete with our young trees for water and nutrients. We are doing regularly removing weeds from around the base of the trees to give them the best chance for growth (see attached photos how trees are growing well.
Monitoring and Pruning:
Regular inspections: Monitor the health of the trees regularly. RWAYDAVO looks for signs of pests, diseases, or any abnormalities. The early detection helps to address issues promptly.
Pruning: Prune trees as needed to remove dead or damaged branches. Proper pruning improve the overall structure and health of the trees.
As we have completed Tree planting activities for land 6, we wish to do fencing to ensure the security of our trees, we still want to do fencing if funds are available. We will be using BRC brand fence, which is a welded wire fence that belongs to Zensen fence product series. BRC fence is also called “roll top” fence. The fence protects the land in which the trees are planted from animals like goats, cows, and sheep, as well as from the disturbances caused by the humans. The close follow-up and maintenance will continue.
We request you to donate generously to our project so that we can keep working and achieve our goals. You could also consider doing a monthly recurring donation for our project, which will help us with our ongoing work. The link for the monthly recurring donation is mentioned below in the report.
We thank you for everything that you have done for our project, and we look forward to your continued support.
Thanks and Best Regards.
Jean Damascene UWIZEYIMANA
