In June 2025, Habitat & Education Promotion led a tree planting initiative across 24 elementary schools in Togo, successfully planting 760 fruit trees—including mango and orange varieties—to promote environmental education and food security. This effort engaged students, teachers, and local volunteers in hands-on learning about sustainability, climate action, and the importance of nurturing the earth. Each school received between 20 to 40 trees, with students actively participating in planting and caretaking, fostering a sense of ownership and responsibility. The project not only improved the greening of school environments but also laid the groundwork for future access to fresh fruit and long-term environmental awareness among young learners. The initiative has sparked interest from more communities eager to replicate its success.
