In the week of March 20th, 2026, our team carried out a nationwide field visit across all 24 partner schools in Togo as part of our ongoing environmental education and tree planting program.
This visit allowed us to track the progress of trees planted in 2025, carefully mapping planting sites and evaluating the survival rate of seedlings. Beyond counting trees, we engaged directly with students and teachers to understand what is working—and what needs improvement.
We identified key challenges affecting tree survival, including grazing and maintenance practices. In response, we have reviewed and strengthened practical solutions such as:
These efforts are already helping schools take stronger responsibility for protecting their trees.
Program Growth
We are excited to share that 4 new schools (EPP Kpélé Bémé, EPP Dzanipé, EPP Adzahoun Fiagbé, EPP Atigbé) have joined the program, expanding our reach from 24 to 28 schools across Togo. This growth means more children are learning about environmental stewardship while actively contributing to reforestation efforts.
Why This Matters
Each tree planted is more than just a seedling—it represents:
Thanks to your support, we are not only planting trees—we are nurturing a generation that understands the importance of protecting the environment.
What’s Next
We will continue monitoring tree growth, improving survival strategies, and expanding the program to reach even more schools and communities.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
