Our friends at Casa Guatemala have been hit hard by two back-to-back hurricanes this year, Eta and Iota, including severe flooding at the school and in the surrounding villages.
The team at Casa Guatemala has been working tirelessly to provide food to families and the community throughout the crisis, while also trying to prevent as much damage as possible to their school grounds.
The Fruit Tree Planting Foundation has planted hundreds of trees with the school and surrounding community over the past several years, and we hope to return once the floodwaters recede to continue planting trees and working together towards food and environmental stability. In the meantime, please consider supporting their fruit trees and other food security programs as they recover from this disaster.
To a fruitful future,
The FTPF Team
