Dear friends,
FTPF has had a very fruitful summer this year planting over 100 fruit trees with the villagers, families, and children of Rio Dulce, Guatemala!
In July, our team was in the field with our partners at Casa Guatemala to plant fruit trees on their campus as well as another nearby school in order to provide fresh sources of healthy nutrition to low-income children at risk for malnutrition. We also worked with local families to distribute fruit trees to be planted at their homes in order to provide fresh food as well as possible sources of income once the trees mature.
This is an important project that we hope to grow over the coming years as the region of Rio Dulce has some of the highest instances of malnutrition in Guatemala. We therefore want to support both healthy diets and household incomes by planting as many productive and location-appropriate fruit trees as possible over the coming years.
This is where we need your help--please consider sharing this project with your friends and family or donating today to help us reach this goal. We are so grateful for the support!
