Reforestation has always been at the heart of our environmental activity in Madagascar. You have supported our reforestation efforts in the last decade, and we thank you for your support until we reached our funding goal earlier this year. As promissied we are using the 'old' reforestation project to let you know about Reforestation 2.0.
We are proud to announce that we just launched a new project with GlobalGiving. Applying the lessons learned from over 15 years of community driven reforestation, our project is named ‘Reforestation 2.0’, has a new ambitious goal: 20,000 trees. This time the community decided to plant a contiguous forest in the next two years.
Please click on the project link for photos and additional information. We added a PDF file (at the bottom of the project page). It outlines the plan and its implementation in detail
You might consider our new reforestation 2.0, or any of our other projects, for GivingTuesday, December 3, for some proportional match on that day only. Please keep mind mind that December 3 from 0:00 to 23:59 is based on EST (Eastern Standard Time) If you don’t live in the Eastern USA. You can read about their matching formula here: 2024 GivingTuesday Terms & Conditions - GlobalGiving.
With the end-of-the-year giving season around the corner, if you are in the position to donate to international project, we humbly ask to please consider Zahana in Madagascar.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
