Hello friends!
We’ve had a busy last quarter getting everything ready for World Children’s day. We’re excited to take some time to share some updates with you about what’s been going on with the POP-UP festival.
We wanted to make sure that you know about our new 2020 POP-UP content--Green13 Kit focused on SDG 13 Climate Action. The activities have been fully translated into Spanish, French, Arabic and Italian. We have used the last few weeks to reach out to our POP-UP network to extend our translations efforts. Our POP-UP network graciously offered their help and we were able to get our Green13 Kit translated into TEN more languages. Here’s the list of all 14 languages: Bosanski, Spanish, French, Croatian, Italian, Lithaunian, Portuguese, Romanian, Albanian, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese and Korean. The Green13 Kit is now ready to be used in virtual and in person POP-UP events.
In addition, our Super Mentors around the world have been hosting POP-UP festival training. These training sessions are being conducted in different languages and timezones to help our hosts prepare for the event, learn what to expect and the best ways to conduct such sessions. We’re still running this training and our upcoming events can be found on Six Seconds Events Calendar. See links below for more detaills
In September, we hosted a livestream on YouTube to launch the POP-UP Festival in September. We invited Thomas Sayers from UNICEF Home Office to share more about planned World Children’s Day global celebrations, and UNICEF’s vision to reimagine a future with children at the center of the conversation. We introduced a few of the volunteer SuperMentors from around the globe, and shared how people can be part of bringing the world’s largest SEL project into action this year.
We are so excited for this year’s POP-UP Festival. There’s still time for you to spread the word and encourage your circle to join us. Please feel free to share POP-UP festival registration LINK is below.
Thank you for being a part of our community and helping us increase children’s wellbeing around the world.
Warmly,
Patty Freedman
