Hello GlobalGiving donors. My name is Laeticia. I am a first year midwifery student at the National School of Public Health in Ouahigouya. From a very young age, I have admired the men and women who work in health facilities and hoped that I could do this work one day.
Years ago, my father drove a taxi. As a result of a traffic accident, he lost the use of both legs and lost all possibilities of employment. My mother finds small things to sell in order to feed my two sisters, my brother and me. Thanks to the opportunity offered by Global NEEED Burkina, I was accepted into midwifery training. At the end of three years of training, I will receive my diploma in nursing and obstetrics which will qualify me to work as a midwife. I will thus achieve my childhood dream as well as be able to provide for myself and my family. I hope to honor you by being an excellent midwife, providing the very best services I can to women and babies.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for investing in my education and for giving me this chance.
