Greetings dear GlobalGiving donors. My name is Latifatou. I am 23 years old. My parents are farmers. Having understood the benefits of education, my parents have done everything they can to send my 3 sisters, 2 brothers and me to school. It has been very difficult.
I heard that Global NEEED had scholarships available for young women with secondary school diplomas who wanted to receive midwifery training. I applied and thanks to God, I received a scholarship. It was a huge "ooof" for my parents as they could never under any circumstance help pay for this training.
I am in my second year of training at the National School of Public Health in Ouahigouya. At the moment, we are doing practical training in a health center. I am passionate about the career of midwifery. I want to contribute to the good health of women, partners, couples and children as well as anyone who is sick.
I want to sincerely thank Burkina Faso Girls’ Education Fund and GlobalGiving donors for all you do. It means so much to us that you continue to help girls from indigent families to be able to receive midwifery training. Your scholarships are our only support for this training. May God be with you in all you do.
