Thank you for supporting our  FUNDAMAYA  "Caritas Sonadoras" nutrition feeding center program in the highlands of Guatemala.

In Guatemala, malnutrition is a significant challenge for many children. Guatemala has the fourth-highest rate of chronic malnutrition in the world and the highest in Latin America and the Caribbean. Nearly half of all Guatemalan children under the age of five (48.9 percent, according to the World Food Programme) are chronically malnourished.

Your contributions have made a real difference in the lives of the impoverished Indigenous Mayan children we serve. Your donations have been a beacon of hope, lighting the way toward a better future for these children.

We want to share the impact of your support. Thanks to your donation of $1,200 US. We have been able to sponsor three children to attend the "Caritas Sonadoras" nutrition feeding center program of FUNDAMAYA, and provide 4 times of meals, vitamins, they have been able to have a head start on their education and learn the basics of hygiene with healthy habits such as brushing their teeth and washing their hands.

This practical assistance has not only eased hunger but has also created an environment where learning and growth can flourish and hope grows. Recognizing these children's challenges is important – poverty, healthcare gaps, and educational disparities. Nearly all come from Indigenous communities, where economic struggles and language barriers add to their difficulties.

Your support is breaking down these barriers, offering Indigenous children aged 4 to 5 years old the chance to attend the "Caritas Sonadoras" nutrition feeding center program of FUNDAMAYA, where they receive nutritious meals and early educational experiences that connect them not only with a head start on their education journey but also emphasize the importance of their cultural heritage.

Your contributions help instill pride in their Indigenous identities, giving them the confidence to embrace their roots as they start their educational journey.
