When our students enter school, they are only familiar with their local tribal dialect. Over time, the children begin developing their capabilities to read, write, and speak in English and Swahili - the dual national languages in Kenya.
With 60 young learners, every day is filled with an exciting array of story-time, letters, numbers, fine motor activities designed to strengthen coordination for writing.
We LOVE this project! And we love that you are able to follow-along and see some of the progress as we work to bring early childhood education into remote communities in Kenya where children would not otherwise be attending school.
Thank you for helping to make this project possible!
Sincerely,
Tad
