This project aims to protect and restore coral reefs along the coast of Mafia Island Marine Park, Mnazi Bay- Ruvuma Estuary Marine Park,Menai Bay Conservation Area,Dar es Salaam Marine Reserves . Local communities will work together to reduce pollution and harmful fishing practices. Training and awareness programs will help people understand the importance of coral reefs. The project supports marine life, fishing breeds,tourism, and sustainable livelihoods for future generations.
Coral reefs in Indian Ocean near Mafia Island Marine Park are being damaged by climate change and overfishing.Plastic waste and water pollution are destroying marine habitats and biodiversity. Many fishermen lack sustainable fishing knowledge and equipment. Without action, coastal ecosystems and community incomes may decline severely
