Every girl deserves the chance to dream, learn, and grow without the burden of early marriage. Yet, around the world, millions of young girls are forced into marriages before they’re ready—losing their childhoods, their education, and their futures.
Here is how your support helped Rajeswari from CRY UK Project in Andhra Pradesh:
At just two years old, Rajeswari was abandoned by her mother and raised by her father and supportive grandparents. Neglected by her stepmother, she faced the risk of dropping out of school. The CRY UK project team intervened, involving her in the Children Collective that boosted her confidence and academic performance.
When a marriage proposal threatened her education, Rajeswari bravely reported it to the project team. With their support, her family understood the importance of education. Rajeswari not only passed her 10th grade but excelled, earning a spot in a Medical Laboratory Technology course. Now, on a path to self-reliance, Rajeswari is eligible for a government scholarship and has the potential to work in the public health sector right after graduation.
Your generosity directly supports initiatives that educate, empower, and protect these vulnerable girls, giving them an opportunity to be free to pursue their dreams.
We look forward to your continued support!
