Any time our Utah staff travels to Ouelessebougou, we look forward to visiting a village that is scheduled to have the local vaccinator come and administer vaccinations to their village children. By the time we arrive in the village there is always a long line of mothers and their babies awaiting the chance to receive a life-saving gift. As travel to rural villages is difficult, not all villages receive vaccinations from the government; however, with your support the Alliance has been able to make vaccinations available to 25 rural villages.
Last year 8,418 children ages 0-5 were vaccinated from these nine life-threatening diseases: polio, yellow fever, measles, tuberculosis, diphtheria, hepatitis A, the flu and tetanus. 1,427 expecting mothers received maternal immunizations as well.
Thank you for supporting the cause to improve the quality of life and save the lives of thousands of Malian children!
