Mali's summer season is a busy time for our vaccination program. Last month alone 990 infants received vaccinations. Mothers form long lines for the opportunity to have their babies vaccinated. One new mother said, "I will wait all day because I know it will help my baby."
A vaccination for a child is much more than just a shot. It's the gift of life. It's the opportunity to gain an education, grow into a healthy adult and become a parent. Our vaccination program gives our village children a fighting chance for a bright future.
