Prevention of domestic violence in Mexican homes

The first face-to-face group of timely stimulation began in September of last year, more than 2 years after the start of the Covid 19 pandemic.

Mothers and their sons/daughters attend a 50-minute session at the Foundation's facilities in Coyoacán, Mexico City once a week, where the children play and the mothers are trained in a DEI Model of respectful parenting. Sometimes parents and/or grandparents accompany them to observe the class through a large window, where you can see them smiling and very proud of the children's progress.

 New groups will open now in January!

We also share with great pride that Ana Serrano, Founder of the Organization, was invited to participate in an Early Childhood forum in the Chamber of Deputies in September 2022. In this forum, they discussed the importance to protect boys and girls from violence and the prohibition of corporal punishment.

At Fundación Proyecto DEI we celebrate the face-to-face graduation of a timely stimulation group, which we accompany digitally throughout the covid 19 pandemic!
Right now we are starting with the face-to-face modality in a formal way, taking special care of the mental and socio-emotional health of boys and girls in this return, in post-pandemic times.
With other important news, we are working in partnership with VIFAC, an organization that supports expectant mothers in vulnerable situations with the Pregnancy Wellbeing Program; is a group of young women who will give their babies up for adoption. Neurosciences have proven that it is extremely important to strengthen the affective bond between the mother and her unborn baby, since it will give the newborn security and allow it to develop properly.
