Providing examination, treatment, medication support, emergency observation, vaccination and family planning and laboratory services for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar district of Bangladesh since 2018.
Since 1942, Arakanese Muslims have suffered severe oppression; in 2017, 940,000 people fled to Bangladesh. This led to a major refugee crisis and strained local resources. The flood disaster in 2022 worsened the situation, pushing the region to the brink of a humanitarian crisis. In camps with over a million people, the biggest problem is sanitation. Inadequate waste management has caused disease outbreaks, especially in areas with limited access to healthcare.
In December 2018, Yeryuzu Doktorlar started to provide services to Rohingya refugees in the 19th camp in Cox's Bazar and within the scope of this project, it provides physical therapy, examination, free pathological tests, medication support and provides care for critical cases.In Bangladesh Refugee Health Centers, Yeryuzu Doktorlar has provided examination services to 191.856 people and medication support services to 48,852 people in Bangladesh Refugee Health Centers.
2 doctors, 1 nurse, 1 midwife, 1 pharmacist, 1 health manager, 1 health officer, 1 receptionist, 1 administrative assistant and 1 security personnel with a total of 10 personnel, it is aimed to continue the examination and treatment services for refugees within the scope of primary health care services without interruption, while sustaining to provide health services to places where access is difficult.
