It was an incredible honor to present this year’s PA Certification Fellows with their graduation certificates during the 2025 Justice For My People Film Festival, alongside civil rights activist Dolores Huerta.
It was a moment to recognize and uplift these dedicated program participants who took a leap of faith and invested in themselves to pursue careers in film and television.
Some of our graduates joined the program to chase lifelong dreams of working in the industry. Others left stable jobs in search of purpose-driven work that aligned with their values and creative passion.
Together, they completed eight virtual workshops, followed by five days of hands-on training with special guest instructors. By the end of the program, our fellows had clocked in over 2,000 hours of paid PA experience and walked away not only with new skills, but with confidence, community, and a clear path forward.
We’re proud of what they’ve accomplished and excited for what comes next. Our PAs are eligible to work on our upcoming Short Film Launchpad initiative, where 1 to 3 filmmakers from our BIPOC Sci-Fi Lab will receive the resources needed to make a futurist short film. Match your donation today to secure more days on set for our graduates!
