Project: Help Support Families Living with Cancer

Through the support of our donors,  Purple House provide services covering all aspects of cancer rehabilitation outside of actual medical treatment and complements existing medical care. We cater for patients, survivors, carers, families, friends, and healthcare workers through our broad range of services that impact 1,500 families per year.

“A few months after Cora passed away, a friend of mine, introduced me to Purple House and all the services they offer. Shortly after that introduction I began bereavement counselling. I would have been lost without counselling. It’s not a cure for grief, but as the months went on my family and friends were able to see the benefits that I was getting from counselling, and I was finding my way on how to deal with certain memories and images that were haunting me. I am under no illusions that I will not get over losing the love of my life, but I do like to think that as each day passes, it can and will get just a tiny bit better”.

John and his baby daughter lost their wife and mother, Cora and because of our supporters, John found essential support at Purple House Cancer Support and knows that our team will be here for his and Cora's baby girl when she needs us.

“Purple House has helped me so much and I will be forever grateful to all they have done for me, continue to do for me and as my daughter gets older, I am sure they will be able to help her, on ways to deal with life without her mum."
