A year ago, my friend died in her home and left about 30 plus cats there. At that time,

I really didn't think too much about the consequences; in my mind, I only wanted to help these cats and try to find homes for them as much as I can.

I thought I would be better in the future because of these helping; but actually it is not, my beloved cats leave me one after another when I saved others. In addition, I always receive sarcasm, slander, and injury when I help out for stray cats. My heart hurts and feels so discouraging.

I’ve been working hard for Tai O Stray Cat Home for 10 years and doing things with all conscience. But still, I face lot of unfair and unjust matters every day, which is deeply exhausted. Besides, I always need to think about how to raise funds for the medical expenses for our stray cats; but God always has his time to provide all our needs.

In the past two years, Chairman Wu Zonglin (C.C. Wu Cultural & Education Foundation Fund Limited) and my mentor Anna Leung provide help and financial support to Tai O Stray Home. I would like to say thank to them to continued support us; without them, I may not be able to overcome difficulties or challenges.

My mentor Anna mentioned that "Even if you feel discouraged and frustrated, you should continue to rely on your conscience, and only do everything right. After the sadness is over, you can go as far as you can, so that you can go further." I agree with her. In the past 10 years, I have experienced countless ups and downs. In fact, I want to give up every time, but every time there will be a group of conscientious people to give a helping hand. Therefore, our mission to help out stray cats will be continued.

For the medical expenses, it is exceeded HKD 100,000 (USD 13,000) for this year. But with the help from Wu Zonglin, Anna Leung, Albert Chan, Mabel and others to support us, we are fine at this moment; otherwise, we couldn’t survive. I really appreciate all of them to support Tai O Stray Cat Home.
