Let me share with you all one of my works for stray cats; most of you may think that the task of feeding cats every day seems easy. In fact, when it becomes a responsibility, it is definitely may not be an easy chore. Talking about the responsibility of voluntary works, many people tend to avoid it. You know what, I also want to escape it, but I can’t. When I know one of the stray cats disappears, the inner fear and uneasiness from me comes again. Therefore, I would keep riding a bicycle to search nearby to see whether I can find the missing cat; I always use the special “meow meow” sound to lure him/her, hopefully I could find him/her or maybe I will never meet him/her again.
The story for stray cat called “Baby”
Baby was rescued by Aunt last January; he has oral ulcers and FIV. After tooth removal, we need to bring him to the city for Steroid shots every three to four weeks. The Vet mentioned to me that Baby’s situation is getting worse. Yes, I did notice he wasn’t making any progress, he got thinner and thinner, loss of appetite, and he also looked so weak. Actually, I don't know how to help Baby; I thought about it “did I help him or torture him”? Anyway, I will do my best and let God take care of the rest. Fortunately, there is a new drug for Baby; Baby is getting better now after using it for few months. He has good appetite, gained some weight, and no more drooling. You know what I feel happy and grateful for Baby that he has an improved health.
Something about stray cat called “Big Yellow”
A few weeks ago, I asked a helper to bring Big Yellow to Vet for a complete blood test. I was so worried about Big Yellow’s condition but turned out all his final indexes were normal except he has mild skin inflammation but that was a minor issue. During this caring period for Big Yellow, I would like to say thanks to sister Ling and aunty Yan; without their constant caring for Big Yellow, he doesn’t have a good health.
As usual, we always need your support; otherwise, we are unable to pay all the daily and medical expenses for stray cats. If possible, please continue to send us donation for taking care of stray cats and help us to survive in Tai O. In my long journey with stray cats, we need you!
