Busy as usual, there are always many sick and weak stray cats out there. I desire to tell the following to all of you:
Rescued three little kittens in late 2024
Hello, friends! I am German, the founder of Tai O Stray Cat Home. I would like to share with you a heart-wrenching story about three kittens in desperate need of help. In December of 2024, residents of Mui Wo in Dadi Tong rescued three dying kittens and were asking help from me. These kittens were only two months old and were unfortunately infected with the Carisi virus (Feline Calicivirus, FCV). The condition for one of them was particularly worrying; it had difficulty breathing and needed to rely on oxygen to keep his life. The other two were also very weak, had no appetite, their small noses were blocked by secretions, and their eyes were inflamed, which was very distressing and terrifying.
The cold weather in late 2024 had undoubtedly made things worse for these young and fragile little lives; without timely treatment and careful care, they might not survive.
Fortunately, three kittens were receiving treatment because our volunteer team was guarding them day and night, hoping to bring them a little warmth. However, the heavy medical expenses really make us feel stressed. It is because our campus of Tai O Stray Cat Home had been relocated and renovated in late 2024; therefore, our funds were very tight. It was difficult to bear the additional expense for these little kittens.
We cannot bear to see these little lives struggling in pain. Time is precious to them, so we ask all of you to lend a helping hand and give them a chance to continue to survive. Maybe a little help from you can bring them warmth and hope, allowing them to feel the love of the world and have the opportunity to welcome the next spring. We sincerely hope for your generosity to support our rescue operations. Please send your donation for their medical expenses and rehabilitation treatment, hoping to raise enough funds to take care of them. Let’s cheer for these cute cats; thank you for your support and concern.
Something about abandoned cat called “Zhao Zhao popo” (18-year-old)
18-year-old Zhao Zhao popo, thank you for staying with me for more than two years. You were abandoned by someone 2 plus years ago, and you also had painful mouth ulcers at that time. I remember that you didn’t trust humans, and you made trouble with me every time I saw you. But after some time, you asked me to hug and kiss you every day. In fact, it was not me who saved you, but you healed me. In late December 2024, you were leaving. But I am happy that you let me as your final companion. You know what? It’s been really hard lately, always saying goodbye to some ageing cats. No matter whether animals or humans, who can know the pain of leaving?
Once again, we urgently need your donation to help our stray cats and abandoned cats. Without your support and donation, we don’t think we can survive and go out to save cats.
