Meet Zama - newest addition to the Vusumnotfo team.
We got Zama from Swaziland Animal Welfare Society (SAWS). He was brought to SAWS after his mother was killed when he was two weeks old. So staff at SAWS hand feed Zama from two weeks until we adopted him at 8 weeks.
As a result Zama loves people. This makes him perfect for our training environment where many people have had negative experiences with dogs at family and community level.
Given his small size and “can do” personality, Zama charms everyone. This gives participants a first hand positive experience in the companionship and enjoyment of a well cared for dog.
A key component of our strategy to promote the use of animal care as a positive demonstration of responsibility and emapthy to children.
Activity 1.1. Parenting - ii) Conduct - a veterinary clinic annually, as a strategy to promote animal care as a positive demonstration of responsibility and empathy to children
