Dear Donor!
Songtaba is very excited to once again update you on our work which off course your contribution is helping to make it possible.
The outbreak of coronovirus in early this year revealed a lot of realities to development partners and stakeholder in many nations across the globe. As a developemnt organisation, Songtaba has taken some time to research more into adolescent girl-centerd programming. Typically, what is available are general youth programs that are meant to include adolescent girls, but in reality do not. Experience has shown that to reach adolescent girls, especially vulnerable adolescent girls, programs must be designed with them as the target audience. in this regards Songtaba is on a journey to study and understand the perculiar problems of adolescent girls to inform a well designed long term problem. It is the objective of Songtaba to promote safe spaces that are truly safe for the girls to be confident in and to use this space to build their potentilas. Girls who are in school and girls out of school could both fall within the same adolescent age group but their needs may differ. As schools are on break as result of Coro pandemic, Songtaba is using this opportunity to engage with out of school adolescent girls for purpose of learning and to also to develop a long term programme for them.
