Our goal is to provide 2.000 girls with proper menstruation protection and inform them about menstruation.
Regarding the awareness meeting on mentruation we have been able to reach close to 1.000 girls so far. You realise how important are those information meetings when talking to the girls after the meeting.
Most of the girls had no clues about what was happening to their body when they had their menstruation. The meetings help to take out the fear of the menstruation but also to avoid unwanted pregnancy by following on their cycle.
For the girls who did not have yet their menstruation it avoids the surprise and the shame.
Obvioulsy proper protection is an important part of the program. It helps girls to stay in school, to have confidence in themselves and avoid humiliation from other students.
We have been able to collect fund only for 100 girls so far.
