‘PROTECT 20 DISABLED CHILDREN IN KGF FROM STARVING’

( A Project by Balajothi Centre for the Disabled Trust – Project # 33104 )

Total Goal amount: $20,000 / Amount raised to date : $1435.96

Project Report due date : Aug 21, 2019 / Report sent on : Aug 13, 2019

THANK YOU DEAR DONOR for your generous giving of $1435.96 towards protecting underprivileged disabled children in Kolar Gold Fields, a defunct gold mining town, from starvation.

As jobs are scarce and the few jobs pay very meager wages the people in this once flourishing mining town are struggling for their very survival.  Needless to say the helpless disabled community is the worst hit and the children struggle for bare necessities.

Balajothi has taken upon itself the arduous task of locating such children and their families and makes all out efforts in protecting these children from starvation by supplying provisions, groceries and healthcare products for a minimum period of one month, on a regular monthly basis.  Every dollar that YOU are donating is spent in providing essentials such as rice, wheat flour, oil, salt, dal, clothing, foot wear etc.  The wonderful thing is that when the families meet us their joy is seen in their huge welcoming smiles and their eyes light up in anticipation.

As most of these children are bedridden or unable to move around the parents are met at a common meeting place where the groceries are distributed which are then taken home by them to their children.  Regular visits to each home ensures that the children stay healthy and receive the benefit of your generous giving.  THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN DEAR DONOR for your regular and continuous giving which has made a GREAT CHANGE in the well being of these poor and helpless disabled children !!

Balajothi thanks GLOBALGIVING for their great support raising funds for this noble task of bringing a change in the lives of the unwanted and uncared for children.  THANK YOU GLOBALGIVING !!
