This project will protect 500 vulnerable girls in Ghana from human trafficking through prevention programs, community education, rescue support, and rehabilitation services. Many girls in low-income and rural communities are at risk of exploitation due to poverty, lack of education, and unsafe migration. This project will strengthen protection systems and provide safe alternatives to help girls stay in school and live free from exploitation.
Human trafficking remains a serious threat to vulnerable girls in Ghana, especially in impoverished and rural communities. Many girls are targeted by traffickers who exploit economic hardship and lack of awareness. Victims often face abuse, unsafe working conditions, and long-term psychological trauma, while families struggle to protect their children due to limited resources.
This project will implement community awareness campaigns, school-based education, early warning systems, and child protection monitoring to identify and prevent trafficking risks. It will also support rescue coordination, counseling, and reintegration services for at-risk and affected girls, helping them return to safe homes and education.
The project will reduce vulnerability to trafficking, improve child safety, and strengthen protection systems in high-risk communities. Girls will gain access to education, psychosocial support, and safer opportunities for development. Over time, this project will help break cycles of exploitation and promote long-term safety and empowerment for girls in Ghana.
