The Climate Action Clinic in Kaski, Nepal, has become a lively space where local farmers learn how to grow healthier crops while caring for the environment. Flyers, posters, and local outreach have helped farmers discover ways to work with their soil, reduce chemical use, and explore natural alternatives.
Every month, 25–30 farmers call the clinic for advice, and around 20 visit in person to check their soil and ask questions about nutrients. Farmers are learning how important it is to understand their soil before planting, helping them make better choices and grow stronger, healthier crops.
The clinic also runs hands-on trials, testing crops like tomatoes, potatoes, and sponge gourd to see what grows best together and what keeps the soil healthy. This practical learning helps farmers plan smarter and protect their land for the future.
"The Climate Action Clinic has helped me understand my soil so much better. Now, I test my soil before planting and know exactly what it needs to grow healthy crops," says Ram Kumar Kunwar, a local farmer. The clinic is helping farmers care for their land, improve their harvests, and create a stronger, more sustainable future for their families and communities.
