This project will protect vulnerable children in Ghana from child labor by supporting prevention programs, community awareness, school reintegration, and child protection services. Many children in low-income households are forced into hazardous or exploitative work instead of attending school. This project will help identify at-risk children, remove them from harmful labor situations, and support their return to education and safe childhood development.
Child labor remains a serious issue in some communities in Ghana, where poverty and lack of access to education force children into work that is harmful to their health, safety, and development. Many children miss school, experience physical strain, and are exposed to unsafe environments that affect their long-term wellbeing and future opportunities.
This project will implement community awareness campaigns, child protection monitoring, and support services to identify and assist children engaged in labor. It will also provide school support, counseling, and basic needs assistance to help children transition back into education and safe environments.
The project will reduce child labor, improve school attendance, and strengthen child protection systems in vulnerable communities. Children will gain access to education, improved health, and safer living conditions. Over time, this project will contribute to breaking the cycle of poverty and protecting children's rights in Ghana.
