This project provides free medical consultations, malaria screening and treatment, malnutrition detection, deworming, and mosquito nets to vulnerable children in rural Togo. In 2024, our medical missions treated 506 people: 46% tested positive for malaria and 37% of children suffered from malnutrition. Your support will fund two new missions to save and protect the most at-risk children.
In the rural villages of the Wonougba health district, malaria and malnutrition severely impact children. Our 2024 missions revealed alarming rates: 46% malaria positivity and 37% malnutrition among children. Families often lack mosquito nets, delay care due to cost, and misunderstand symptoms. Without timely intervention, children face repeated infections, long-term health consequences, and preventable deaths.
Our mobile medical missions bring lifesaving care directly to remote villages: Full medical consultations for children and adults Rapid malaria testing & treatment MUAC screening & nutrition supplements Free deworming medications Distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets Home-based awareness sessions Referral of serious cases to health centers Your donation directly saves children's lives.
By improving prevention, early diagnosis, and access to care, this project will reduce child mortality from malaria and malnutrition. We strengthen local health workers' capacity and empower families with accurate knowledge. Over time, villages become better equipped to prevent infections, recognize danger signs, and protect their children building a healthier and more resilient community.
