Protect Hausa Muslim Girls from Exploitation

By Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri | Project Leader

Dear Respected Donors,

Thank you for supporting this project focused on protecting Hausa Muslim girls who are at risk of exploitation in Northern Nigeria. Your support helps create safe alternatives for girls who would otherwise face child marriage, street exploitation, or survival prostitution due to poverty and lack of opportunity.

Many girls grow up in homes where education is out of reach and income is scarce. Some families, out of desperation, depend on girls to contribute financially, exposing them to unsafe conditions and abuse. Without protection and support, these girls lose their childhood, dignity, and chances for a stable future.

This project works directly with communities in Abuja and Kano to identify girls at risk and place them in safe housing. It covers school fees, uniforms, food, and basic needs, while also providing mentorship and vocational training such as tailoring and hairdressing. These services give girls stability, protection, and practical paths to self-reliance.

With education and skills, girls are far less likely to be forced into early marriage or prostitution. Subsequently, they can support themselves, help their families legally and safely, and become role models within their communities. Protecting these girls today helps reduce exploitation and builds safer, stronger communities for the future.

Right now, donations recieved though tangible but will not be able to kickstart the project. With continued support, we can remove these girls from harm and help them build secure and dignified lives.

With thanks,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
