Thank you for choosing to support our work to protect India’s tigers and promote co-existence.
We are pleased to announce that, thanks to generous public support, we’ll be able to protect even more of India’s precious tigers, thanks to the appointment of a new Network Support Consultant who will help support the work of our partners in the field.
Yashvardhan Dalmia, known as Yash, who has five years’ conservation and corporate social responsibility (CSR) experience in India, will work alongside the team at Satpuda Landscape Tiger Partnership (SLTP) to support the amazing work of the SLTP partners and help identify and share conservation success stories in the region. Not only will the role help increase the impact of our work across this vast tiger conservation landscape, it will enable even more local people to discover the vital importance of co-existence and tiger protection.
Born Free’s Head of Conservation, Dr Nikki Tagg, said: “The Satpuda Landscape Tiger Partnership has been active for many years, and all the partners are doing amazing work on all areas of tiger conservation in the Satpuda Landscape, Central India. We are so excited about this newly recruited Network Support Consultant who will be instrumental in maximising on the successes of each partner of the network. Yash will help to measure, collate and communicate all this excellent work and in doing so will drive the partnership forward. This will of course benefit the tigers and people of India.”
Yash added: “Tigers are a huge source of inspiration to me. They are a symbol of biodiversity conservation and have inspired people from across different age groups, cultures, and backgrounds to know more about the importance of wildlife and do their bit to protect it. Moreover, initiatives for conserving Tigers have the potential of indirectly leading to the conservation of several lesser-known but important wildlife species which share their habitats with Tigers. I am very excited to be a part of a team in which everyone shares the common goal of biodiversity conservation.”
Thank you for your continued support for this vital conservation programme.
