Protecting Girls from Rising Digital Violence

By Ikechukwu Kelechukwu | Project Lead

Across Nigeria, a silent crisis is escalating—digital violence against women and girls is rapidly increasing. From cyberbullying and online harassment to scams and image-based abuse, thousands of girls are being targeted every day.

Right now, this project has 0 donors, but the need has never been greater.

Why This Project Matters Now

Digital spaces should be safe for learning, connection, and opportunity. Instead, many Nigerian girls face:

  • Cyberbullying and online harassment
  • Grooming and exploitation
  • Non-consensual sharing of private images
  • Financial scams and identity theft

These attacks don’t just stay online—they damage mental health, disrupt education, and expose girls to real-world harm.

Yet, most girls lack the tools, knowledge, and support systems to protect themselves.

Our Immediate Action Plan

We are fully prepared to begin implementation as soon as funding is secured. Our first phase will:

  • Train 2,000 girls in digital safety, privacy protection, and cyber-resilience
  • Launch 20 Digital Safety Clubs as safe spaces for peer learning and reporting abuse
  • Roll out a nationwide awareness campaign to end digital violence against women and girls

This is not just training, it’s about building confidence, protection, and a generation of digitally empowered girls.

Why Your Support Matters

Every contribution helps us:

  • Equip a girl with life-saving digital safety skills
  • Provide psychosocial support for survivors of online abuse
  • Create safe communities where girls can speak up and be protected

Even a small donation can help a girl stay safe, stay online, and stay empowered.
