The Grupo Ecologico Sierra Gorda, through its environmental education program, has organized 60 Earth Festivals currently underway from February through April which will involve the 17 thousand students that participate actively throughout the year. These are cultural events with the objective of reviving, promoting and consolidating popular traditions and habits. However, more than anything they are an homage of respect and love for Mother Earth and the cultural roots of the region.
These celebrations are attended by all the students of local schools, parents, and the public in general who organize the event in their community. We appreciate your help to keep this 24 year old tradition going and invite you to visit the Sierra Gorda Biosphere Reserve and join the party to celebrate Mother Earth.
