I am delighted to share our 2025 Impact Report with you, highlighting the incredible difference your generosity has made over the past year.
Thanks to your support, Pelorus Foundation has continued to protect the world's most trafficked mammal by working alongside our trusted local conservation partner in Namibia, the Pangolin Conservation and Research Foundation (PCRF). Together, we are helping rescued pangolins recover, return to the wild, and strengthening long-term protection for the species.
In our attached 2025 Impact Report, you'll find updates on this work on page eight, showcasing the conservation efforts your support is making possible in Namibia. From rescue and rehabilitation to scientific research and community-led protection, your generosity is helping deliver meaningful, lasting impact where it is needed most.
Over the past year, donations to Pelorus Foundation have enabled our local project partner to respond to an unprecedented influx of rescued pangolins requiring urgent medical care. Your support helped cover emergency veterinary treatment, ensuring these critically endangered animals received the specialist care they needed before being safely released back into the wild.
Across the Nyae Nyae Conservancy, our project partnership also continues to strengthen community-led conservation. Working with more than 20 local villages, San pangolin guardians are employed to protect wildlife while creating sustainable livelihoods. As Kelsey Prediger, Founder of PCRF, explains:
"Community members work together with the pangolin guardians to keep their fauna protected, a project that brings jobs and benefits. We have a chance to do something now, but in a few years that chance will have passed."
Alongside this, our project partner expanded its research and rehabilitation programme during 2025 through a dedicated field research camp, contributing to one of the world's most comprehensive datasets on rescued pangolins. With more than 40 pangolins rescued to date, this work is generating vital knowledge to improve future rescue, rehabilitation, release and monitoring, with lessons now being shared across Angola and neighbouring countries.
I hope you enjoy reading our full Impact Report and seeing the tangible difference your support of Pelorus Foundation is making. Together with our local project partner, we are helping trafficked pangolins recover, return to the wild, and creating stronger local systems that will protect this remarkable species for generations to come.
Thank you once again for your continued support of Pelorus Foundation.
