We are thrilled to bring you some uplifting news! Witnessing the birth of new hatchlings and their first journey into the ocean is a heartwarming experience that we are privileged to share with you. However, the start of this peak season has also seen a worrying number of these young ones being washed ashore, primarily due to the ingestion of micro-plastics during their initial swim.
Each turtle we rescue incurs an approximate cost of $4,000 for their nine-month treatment. This cost can increase if they require specialized care due to excessive plastic ingestion. It’s an expensive endeavor, and your support is what makes it possible!
We are delighted to share that our partner in Thailand has achieved significant success. They have been registered, undergone training, and are now recipients of government funding. This is a major step forward in our conservation efforts.
