Our Mission Remains Steadfast

By Tekia Thompson | Community Outreach Manager

Barbara, Technical Designer in Cape Coast.

Investing in women creates powerful ripple effects, touching their lives, loved ones, and communities. Your generous donations have made it possible for us to continue our mission, preserving life-changing jobs for African women. We want you to meet Barbara, Technical Designer and Global Mama since 2016. Thanks to your support, she is living out the Global Mamas’ mission of achieving a life of prosperity for herself and her family. As the Technical Designer, Barbara guides seamstresses to reach their full potential, by helping them explore new designs, and maintain high-quality standards. One seamstress, initially used to simple designs, became a top producer for Global Mamas, thanks to Barbara's guidance and support.

Since joining Global Mamas, Barbara has achieved financial stability, experienced personal growth, and gained new skills and experiences. Barbara’s family and community hold her in high regard, seeing her as a role model for the children. She aspires to own a home one day and continue her educational journey by enrolling in a master’s program, enhancing her expertise, and expanding her impact.

Though facing increasing economic pressures, Global Mamas like Barbara continue to thrive because of supporters like you. We invite you to learn more about Barbara and share her story with your community. Sharing with your community why you chose to support our organization will help us increase the work and protect the existing jobs of 300 African women. We are grateful for your support

Gratefully yours,
Team Global Mamas
