We would like you to meet Cynthia, affectionately known as Maa Cee. Cynthia joined Global Mamas three years ago as a cleaner. Since then, she’s become an integral part of the Fair Trade Zone (FTZ), maintaining a clean and welcoming environment and assisting in the paper making, body butter, and weaving departments when needed. “This job has brought so many positive changes,” she shares. “I’ve grown, I’ve learned, and I’ve been able to provide better for my children.” Speaking of her children, her daughter, Florence, is now a Global Mama, serving in the Quality Control department. It’s truly wonderful to see them both thriving together within our community.
Though we are currently navigating increased environmental and economic challenges, Global Mamas like Cynthia and Florence continue to realize their dreams. We invite you to learn more about them through our Prosperity Blog. Then, take it a step further and share their story with your community. Sharing with your friends and family will help us increase the work and protect these existing jobs.
