Thanks donors for hanging in there with FAVL! We continue to make lots of efforts to supply the 34 librries in Burkina Faso with new reading materials. Last month we printed and distributed 15 new photo books. They mostly feature residents of the village communities where the libraries are located. They can be viewed at our marketplace at fastpencil.com. A couple of covers are included here. Kids really like these books, and they are written in fairly simple French.
After our last delivery of books in May to Niankorodougou library, we purchased 46 African novels for older readers in the library of Mané (receipt attached). We have not had a recent purchase of children's books but will do so in the coming months.
