Post COVID-19 our job to support gender based violence and marginalized populations has become more difficult as we shift from food insecurity caused by loss of jobs and livilihoods to not being able to afford food at all, as cost of food due to the war in Ukraine, disruptions in production and supply chain challenges has caused the cost of food to rise as we have never seen before.
Over the past months we have continued to receive more request for food, however our budget has not been able to support the demand as we get less food for more money.
In the comming months we continue to prepare for the Agro Processing Facility Project which will not only provide sustainable employment for women and girls but also produce new food items derived from local fruits and vegetables which will contribute to expanding the local food stock and also extending the life of particular foods.
Our focus will be on:
The question of how do we support more still requires your support and your donation as our food distribution has moved from over 750 persons to a pending list of over 300.
We continue to support those who need help and bridge the gap which continues to widen due to a number of internal and external factors
