The support education project was a discovery in many ways for me. First of all, I need to mention that it's the first time I've participated in something like this. In my city there is school support projects near my house, but it is organized in a different way and it is much simpler.
Here, the support education project is not only a place where children will learn, it is also a space where young people form some of their best friends, where they find a second family in the educators and a place where they grow while they learn.
The school support centers, in the neighborhood of “Flores” and in “Villa 31”, are perfectly organized. They start around five in the afternoon: to start, the children are served a snack and then they start with the afternoon activities, dividing the group into three, separating them according to the age of the children. If it is the time of the evaluations in the schools, the tasks and the exercises are carried out to practice the subject where the child has more difficulty, and to finish, they follow activities to have fun after the tasks.
In the neighborhood of Villa 31, as the space is smaller, the daily improvisations must be performed to adapt. In any case, in both centers, the educators are very well prepared, they know the children well and they know how to work with them. The project welcomes children and children between 6 and 14 years of age. I think the coordination of such a large group with so much age variation is not easy at all because each child has their needs that vary according to the age range in which they are.
I give thanks, and then I conclude, Mensajeros de la Paz, for let me participate in this mature and beautiful project. You have enriched my life with a new and satisfying experience, something I will never forget.
