Dear Donor,
Our Educational Strengthening Program (Programa de Fortalecimiento Educativo) is oriented to the promotion and strengthening of the educational path of children in their primary cycle of education (from 6 to 12 years). The aim of the program is to improve the educational quality and strengthen the learning processes of children at risk, promoting access to equal opportunities and the consequent social inclusion.
The Program is strategically located in neighborhoods characterized by having a population in a situation of vulnerability and with difficulties in the access to the fulfillment of their rights, which allows working from a perspective of comprehensive protection of children and adolescents.
Despite the pandemic context, the Program continued its work, accompanying more than 300 children and families virtually. All the participants managed to pass the course, and also an end of the course ceremony was held where the participants received a diploma, added to a face-to-face meeting to close the year.
In the last months, Mensajeros de la Paz took advantage of the summer holidays in order to work with the strategic planning of the 2021 year, evaluating how to keep on guaranteeing continuity despite the limitations that the pandemic context brings back. We must highlight the positive predisposition and excellence of the pedagogical technical team that constantly seeks to improve their pedagogical-didactic practices for the children. Mensajeros de la Paz understands the education as a fundamental right in the development of people in society, and so, we are aware that it requires an adequate planning.
