We are thrilled to share the latest updates on our educational program with you. Your unwavering support continues to make a significant impact in the lives of these children, and we are excited to report on our progress.
New School Year Kickoff
In March, we commenced a new cycle of classes across four locations of our Educational Strengthening Program: Flores, Floresta, Yerbal, and Once. We were delighted to see a strong turnout at all sites, highlighting the positive reception and the value of our program. Many children who participated last year have returned, indicating that our efforts are indeed beneficial for them and their families. These children have shared their success stories, including improvements in literacy skills and advancements in their school grades, thanks to the support provided in our educational spaces.
Addressing Literacy and Reading Comprehension Challenges
As in previous years, we continue to face significant challenges in two primary areas: literacy and reading comprehension.
To tackle these challenges effectively, we have collaborated this quarter with Educar y Crecer, a specialist organization, to adapt and create new materials specifically designed to address the literacy and reading comprehension difficulties faced by the children in our program.
The new educational materials are vital for our program. They are tailored to meet the specific needs of our students, offering engaging and effective methods to improve their literacy skills. These manuals not only enhance our teaching techniques but also empower the children to build a strong foundation in reading and writing, which is essential for their overall academic and personal development.
