Dear project supporters
We are deeply grateful for your on-going support that is enabling us to continue to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown.
Thanks to your support through this project and another GlobalGiving project, over the past 3 months we have been able to accomplish the following:
1. We are helping the Dumbuya family in constructing a new home. They lost their entire home due to the flood and have not been able to find available affordable housing. Consequently, they are in the process of building a new zinc/aluminum sheet house. We are continuing to support them through this process - providing funding.
2. The Lumley area was one of the areas that were severely affected by flooding. We provided school supplies to 10 kids in this area.
We brought relief, smiles and warmed their hearts. Just knowing that others cared about them made their day!
Recovery is a long-term process. In the coming months, we are planning to support scholarships and vocational training. Thank you so much for your kind on-going assistance.
With great appreciation
Amy
