By Amy M Baty-Herbert | Project Coordinator
Dear project supporters,
We greatly appreciate your on-going support that continues to bring hope to flood victims in Freetown. Many families in Sierra Leone were displaced due to the flooding and mudslide disaster that took place in August of 2017. Your support helped build a new home for a family that lost everything in the flood.
According to the head of the family, they are very happy with their new home. It is not exposed to flooding or any other form of disaster as compared to their previous home that had been destroyed by flooding.
While recovery will continue to be a long-term process, ongoing support from generous donors like you will help more families that were affected by the flood and mudslide disaster. We encourage you to start a monthly recurring donation here. Even a few dollars a month will go a long way. Please also share this with your contacts and invite them to consider supporting this ongoing project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at GlobalGiving@developafrica.org.
With great appreciation
Amy & The Develop Africa Team
